To be successful in this role, you must understand the social and community sector, have a strategic approach, proficient negotiation and networking skills, allocate resources to maximise operational efficiency to meet funding deliverables, and manage reports on operational systems experience for a health or community services organisation. The ideal manager must demonstrate the ability to build and develop relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

The key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Networking with other NDIS providers, Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, GPs, and any other relevant professionals
  • Strategic Planning & Implementation
  • Fundraising and projects/ programs.
  • Financial, Risk Management and Budgeting
  • Commercial Operations
  • Communications/Public Relations & Promotion
  • Legislative /Legal/Regulatory Responsibilities
  • Manage all departments of DHHC and documentation to facilitate ongoing assessment, coordination, monitoring, and review,

Selection Criteria Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications such as Business Management, Social Work, human services, or other relevant qualifications in this industry
  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in a similar sector three years of experience working in the aged care sector and disability sector, including mental health and youth work.
  • Executive-level leadership capability and expertise in driving operational teams, business planning & analysis, business development, continuous improvement and service delivery.
  • Knowledge and the ability to apply regulatory frameworks and clinical governance best practices across the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission, Department of Veterans Affairs and other health-related sectors.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience across various support functions and the capability to build, sustain and leverage effective relationships.
  • Experience in a multi-site leadership operation with a focus on profitability, quality management and customer service excellence.
  • Skills and expertise in innovation and change management, contract management, participant management systems, service reports and implementation.
  • Skills and experience in managing people, including professional supervision, performance management and staff development.
  • Excellent skills in written and verbal communication, negotiations, and presentations.


  • A good understanding of Western Australia’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a specialist area of professional practice.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Having a flexible approach and focus on outcomes.
  • Driver’s licence.
  • National NDIS Screening (or be willing to obtain).
  • Right to work.
  • National Criminal History Check (be willing to obtain) and Working with Children Check (be willing to obtain)
